please can you help me with this series as i'm not sure which one of these 2 is the first in the series as they both have numver 01 in the cat number.

Also do you know where the one that isn't the first in the series fits in with the rest.

DDJ label has two series

DDJ001... 002... 003... 004 and so on

and

DDJ01S... 02S... 03S... and so on

The first release of the series is DDJ001

DDJ01S came after 8 releases and is a code didicated to synchronizations, "S" is for synchronizations.

We will be starting also a third code which will be DDJ01DLX and will be dedicated to more complex projects.
