Il Mostro (1977) by Ennio Morricone

Hi Daniele et all...

I have a question, have you planned to release the soundtrack for Il MOSTRO - old very good thriller/ giallo, an Expanded version?

I tell because BEAT released CD : Il Prefetto Di Ferro - Il Mostro. Contains 4 tracks from Il Mostro. One more (unreleased on CD) also released on the old LP : Oscar Valdambrini.

Maybe this score doesn't deserves an Expanded release, but ...

The track MALINCONICA SERENITA - 1 - as you know used (plays/ sounds) in the movie, in the episode in the recording studio where Sydne Rome sings ..."Ballatta Del Mostro" in italian, very nice song, i'm not sure Sydne sings, maybe someone other.

But on CD released only the version with Edda Dell'Orso voice (or Gianna Spagnulo or someone else???? WHO?? on the CD no credits)...

Also in the movie a lot of anxious, haunting tracks... (Temi di pericolosi) - UNRELEASED on CD.

Howewer Main titles released as Profondamente, Nel Mostro - Part 2

Thanks!

I love this Morricone's score! and i'm very happy that BEAT has released on CD at least 4 awesome tracks.

Besides,

Profondamente, Nel Mostro - Part 1 has very good variation - oboe or flute, i can't say for sure...

The final is very unexpected, howewer i understood who was the murderer in the middle of the movie.

Un Piccolo Mostro - this is the title of Unreleased on CD track from an LP "Morricone-Valdambrini" (1982).

Un Piccolo Mostro means - The Son of Barigozzi (Johnny Dorelli) is the monster.

I saw this movie in italian and never saw with Russian translate... anyway i liked and understood the movie.

Great!

Hi Eda,

I love this score too!

Hopefully we'll be releasing a full-version on CD soon... At least I hope so :)

I wish to see one day a real complete edition of "Il Mostro".
One of the greatest and underestimated Morricone score.
Sweet, well played, in contrast to the sadism of the film...
