I managed to get mp3 version of this CD and its duration is two times greater than official CD and LP. What is the source for these additional tracks? They even have names  ;D .
Thanks in advance.

When will Italian label deal directly with Amazon.it? What we have for time being are high prices and wrong designation as German editions  :'(  .

on: November 09, 2010, 09:41:37 am 3 Beat Records community - English message boards / Main board / "DESTRUCTION OF ITALIAN FILM MUSIC" - John Bender

I found this shocking post at AVManiacs forum:

"There have come disturbing reports from professionals within the relatively small world of soundtrack CD production of the destruction of master tape recordings of Italian film scores from the Silver Age (1960 -1980). This destruction of irreplaceable recordings is (supposedly) occurring at the facilities of RCA Italiana located in Rome. If these reports are true (and firm confirmation has yet to be obtained) the actions are, in a strictly cultural sense, criminal. All such master tape materials are invaluable and representative of the marvelous cinematic cultural heritage of Italy. Italy has been blessed with a great number of the world's finest composers of music for cinema, not just Ennio Morricone but dozens, maybe hundreds, of other talented artists have produced glorious music for literally thousands of movies over the past several decades. The destruction of these artifacts is truly a crime enacted against all future generations who are, in effect, being robbed of their chance to assimilate and appreciate a glorious chapter in the history of Western culture. We all must do everything in our power to A) confirm these reports, and B) put a stop to the destruction. Please use the internet to help in any way you may believe to be of potential value. - John Bender, moderator of The European Film Score Society (Pittsburgh USA - 11/08/12)"

on: May 04, 2010, 06:51:56 pm 4 Beat Records community - English message boards / Original Soundtracks / Hills Run Red CD re-release

'Hills Run Red' (Un fiume di dollari) will be re-released on CD by Quartet Records (?!) in limited quantity of 1000 copies.
"Eagerly awaited re-edition of one of Ennio Morricone`s most sought after works: The 1966 Spaghetti-Western The Hills Run Red (AKA Un fiume di dollari). Using the same master produced by Lukas Kendall in 2008 for the MGM Treasure Box, this new edition includes a 12 pages booklet full of colour stills, the marvellous original cover art by the Italian artist Renato Casaro and a thorough commentary from the specialist John Mansell. "
Ha, ha, the master was bootleg POO vinyl.

on: March 01, 2009, 10:07:34 pm 10 Beat Records community - English message boards / Main board / Lallo Gori soundtracks

Almost all available soundtracks are released by Beat Records. Does Beat have his other scores in its archive? If so, does Beat intend to publish them? I am particularly interested for scores from     Italo-westerns.
Thanks in advance.

on: October 04, 2008, 11:55:10 am 11 Beat Records community - English message boards / Main board / Some suggestions

I have some suggestions for your on-line store and the new releases.
It would be nice that a customer has personal page where he (she) can review all relevant information such as order history, pending orders etc.
I would prefer that the serial number of disc is printed on holographic paper (as SIAE sticker) than on plain one.

And I must thank you for the opportunity to obtain great CDs from your store. I don’t know any other Italian DVD or CD seller (except C.A.M.) which sends discs to my country without ridiculous shipping costs. I don’t live in N. Korea but in a country with a coast on the Adriatic Sea.

Kind regards, Vaso

on: September 25, 2008, 09:52:38 pm 12 Beat Records community - English message boards / Main board / Regular edition and Gold series?

What is the difference between regular edition and Gold series? I have also noticed that CDCR45 is only released as Gold series? Are there any other CDs with only special edition?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards, vaso
