Ciao Meo,

I have the "Preparati la Bara" DVD (it is a german release), and I believe the music you are referring
to is from "Le Pistole non Discutono," by Ennio Morricone.

Am I right?

I was very surprised to hear it in the film. Did Ferdinando Baldi or  Reverberi "steal" the music? The song appears
several times in the movie, usually during "riding" sequences. I don\'t think I saw Maestro Morricone appear in
the credits, though!

My parents are Italian, but I was born and live in the United States (New York). My Italian language skills are
very bad, but I try my best. I was perfectly able to understand what Meo wrote, but I am incapable of speaking
and writing the language very well. I hope I did a decent job!  If someone reading this is bilingual, please translate
for Meo in case he does not understand English. Thanks!

All my best,

Anthony

Daniele,

I\'m sure you want to keep the releases a "secret," but can you give a little hint regarding
"Arizona Colt" being a part of the set? I do not think that Beat owns the rights to that one,
but one can dream!

Filippo, I am sure you realize this, but your father\'s contribution to the Italian western genre
simply cannot be measured. A lot of those films are defined by their great soundtracks. I\'m
just thinking of all the great material your father produced: Quella Sporca Storia, Sette Dollari
sul Rosso, Ringo il volta della vendetta, una bara per lo sceriffo, the three scores on Beat\'s
"Franceso de Masi\'s Western Soundtracks," Quanto Costa Morire, Arizona Colt (of course).
I could keep going on an on! I think that Ringo Il Cavaliere Solitario is very underrated.
It is not really a western, but who could forget Lone Wolf McQuade?

I am sure that you are very, very proud.

Of course, the same goes to you and your father, Daniele.

Thanks for this great forum.

All my best,

Anthony

I just wanted to offer my appreciation for all the great work the maestro has produced, in particular
the western scores (l\'ultimo killer, un buco in fronte, etc).

Also...in my opinion the soundtrack for  "Il Pistolero dell\'Ave Maria" (The Forgotten Pistolero) is one of the
top 5 best Italian Western soundtracks ever created. Yes, even including the western scores by Maestro
Morricone (who I am also a huge fan of), so that is very high praise!

I perfectly realize that the composer often has little control over who owns the rights and is able to
release the material on a CD, but I wonder: will we ever get a *proper * release of Pistolero? I know
it was released on the Curci label a few years back (paired with Micalizzi\'s Trinita), but it is out of
print and almost impossible to find. Besides, this certainly deserves a release of its own!

Maestro Pregadio, if you are reading this...tante grazie per la bella musica. Mi dispiace, ma non
posso communicare troppo bene in italiano.

Auguri,

Anthony
