A beatiful example of the prolific Art form of the jazz musicians from the Deep North Italy ! Recorded in Milan in may 1960 , this album actually is the most wanted from italian jazz collector, for the presence of Dino Piana in the album, and for the tipical 60s mood of the italian jazz of the period, this album includes the classic basso valdambrini style: "lucy ed io" probably composed by gianni basso , but signed by Donadio , (Gianni can't sign any tracks in 60s and 70s because he work every day in national italian tv !- the same happen with the track "donna lu" originally composed by Gianni and dedicated to his beatiful wife Luciana !), the album include also the classic: "Ciao Turin" ( the symbol of the italian jazz of the 60s) in this track classy solos and a very beatiful italian melody , a tribute to Maestro Carlo Prato dedicated to the city of Turin, the city where Dino, Oscar and Gianni born! Great sound Also on the uptempo swing: "Guess who" & "Crazy rythm" and the track "il grimmo" signed by Oscar Valdambrini! a sound and a style that re-unites melodia, nostalgia, joy, jazz and Soundtrack style, in a unique way, and therefore deeply Italian..
