Lively Latin work from Venezuelan drummer Frank Hernandez! As with other Hernandez albums, Frank's work on the drums and timbales is at the forefront of the session. Giving the record a snapping groove that shows up on every single cut, and creates a rhythmic pulse that moves nicely even through the mellow numbers. There's a fair bit of vocals on this set but mostly in the chorus type, in a way that augment the strong early 60s Latin rhythms laid down by Frank and the group. Titles included are "Jicotea", "Yeah Yeah", "Los Viejitos", "Guasabeando", "Yalel Yalel", "Labios De Azucar", and "San Fernando".
