PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Jazz, an universal language. In this album there are a lot of influences but all of them deeply rooted in an Italian background. "...idea": the title of the album and the flute the absolute protagonist of it with a section of 5 flutes along with the one played by Gino Marinacci. The album features the track "Metropoli" composed by Gianni Ferrio and "Club privato", a 6/8 where Dino Piana makes a great performance playing the theme and a great improvisation too. In the cue "Un volto una storia" by Piero Piccioni we have a new version with Horgan and four flutes. This album concept is a one day trip to Rome, Paris or London with its episodes. You just need to listen to "Metropoli" to get into the visionary meaning of this Album. This recording has been also utilised as soundtrack for the TV program broadcasted by RAI in 1970 "L'amico flauto", presented by Renzo Arbore. A show that featured the first Jazz videoclip that consisted in a series of images of differrent European towns.
