"Ok, but horror?"
They were right... that is to say, we are releasing books since 2005 on genre cinema and still we didn't released anything about horror. We, Bloodbuster, that are forged in strong and bloody emotions...
After the book concerning cop movies (ancora più... CINICI INFAMI E VIOLENTI - Dizionario dei film polizieschi italiani degli anni '70), the one on SCI-FI of the 80s (CONTAMINATIONS - Guida al fantacinema italiano anni '80) and the one on Cinecittà James Bond (SEGRETISSIMI - Guida agli spy-movie italiani anni '60), finally another step in our bibliography dedicated to rediscovery of Italian genres, the so much waited book on horror movie.
We entitled it CRIPTE E INCUBI (Crypts and Nightmeares), to homage a minor movie by Camillo Mastrocinque because we do not just have Bava, Freda, Fulci and Argento. There is much more in this dictionary that wants to guide the reader into seeking and finding all of those movies that gave Italian horror celebrity around the world. All genre productions from origins up to now, from classic to more obscure movies now available in 300 schedules with a full list of home video releases with Italian language included. |
