Note :
"La villa del venerdi" (1991) is Mauro BologniniÂ's last movie, based on Alberto MoraviaÂ's novel. For this movie Ennio Morricone has written a truly romantic, almost monothematic score for big orchestra where the piano played by Gilda ButtÃ has a very determinant role in story and in the score. A master mock-up (Side A & B) for a vinyl LP was prepared for commercial purposes at the time of the movieÂ's release, but strangely cancelled for obscure reasons. Now after 13 years since the filmÂ's debut on the screen, this score appears for the first time on the market with digitally remastered sound.
