''La morte non ha sesso'' ("aka" A black veil for Lisa") directed in 1968 by Massimo Dallamano and starring Sir John Mills, Luciana Paluzzi and Robert Hoffmann is a thriller that stylistically could be placed between certain Mario Bava noir movies and early Dario Argento movies about atmospheres and certain situations. The gloomy plot sees as protagonist the classic trio of he, she and the other: but this time the police inspector Bulov as well as having to wrestle with a dangerous gang, he will find himself in trouble cause a private matter which concerns his beautiful and young wife Lisa, former affiliate with the criminal gang, and a killer instructed by the same policeman to kill her and instead the young man becomes her lover until an expected finale. To describe in music throughout the ambiguous atmosphere of the story Giovanni Fusco (which has also composed notable music scores for some movies of Michelangelo Antonioni) and Gianfranco Reverberi (which often collaborated with his brother Giampiero not only for the movie soundtracks but also in the record industry) have written an OST filled with all colors of the noir, Giallo and cops movies that we release for the first absolute time on record and complete from the mono master tapes kept until today in the historical archives of Rca. The Main theme of this OST, introduced by tribal percussions, is a dramatic and rhythmic beat style theme (regarding the French horns and electric guitars ‘ use) where, after a brief James Bond style passage, a romantic and sad theme is developed. The rhythmic main theme is often reprised in the OST and the romantic section of this motif is reprise by the strings in the score. Another recurring theme is a Ballad of urban flavor introduced with the sax and then reprised with different arrangements (flute, harpsichord, guitar) including a bossa version performed by the VOICE of Cinema Edda Dell'Orso. There are also dance floor shake music, suspence music and a romantic and slow lounge theme for bass guitar, brass and strings.
