GDM Music presents for the first absolute time on record the complete OST from the western movie ''Vendo cara la pelle'' (aka '' I‘ll sell my skin dearly'') directed in 1967 by Ettore M. Fizzarotti and starring Mike Marshall, Valerio Bartoleschi, Dane Savours, Germano Longo, Spartaco Conversi, Michèle Girardon, Ake Wahl and Serafino Profumo. Ralph Magdalena, his brother Dominique and two other men kill the old John Shane, his wife and their little daughter to put their hands on a gold mine. Some year later the young Shane, the only survivor of the family, comes back to get revenge of his dear ones and kills those who destroyed his life. The OST is written by Enrico Ciacci, noted guitarist (brother of Italian singer Little Tony) and by Marcello Marrocchi, author of hit songs like ''Andiamo a mietere il grano'', ''Chitarra suona più piano'' and ''Perdere l'amore''. The soundtrack is arranged and conducted by Roby Poitevin and based on the main theme ''Come se fosse già autunno'' performed by Nico and the seagulls (few years later performer of the famous song ''Cento campane'' from the cult TV series ''Il segno del comando''). The score contains all the classic elements of the Italian Western and alternates orchestral reprises of the main theme song, dramatically or romantically according to the scenes. For this CD the mono master tapes kept in the RCA archives have been used, but also two rare stereo versions of the song were discovered. |
