DM Music presents on CD the OST by Ennio Morricone for the 1975 movie ''Il giustiziere'' (aka ''The human factor'') directed by Edward Dmytryk and starring George Kennedy, Raf Vallone, Sir John Mills, Rita Tushingham, Arthur Franz, Barry Sullivan. John Kinsdale, a military employee stationed in Naples who uses state-of-the-art computer technology to track down the terrorists who have exterminated his family. Local police inspector Dr. Lupo (Raf Vallone) and Kinsdale's commander (Arthur Franz) both try to stop him from making justice
on his own. Even his friend MacAllister (John Mills) attempts to reason with him, but the man's revenge will be terrible. Ennio Morricone has composed a sweet and nostalgic theme that evokes the memory of the family, set against to music that in a dissonant way and sometimes with jazz interventions of the brass, underscores the bloody private war of the protagonist. The CD has been realized sing the stereo master tapes of the original session, digitally restored and remastered, that gave the chance to add beyond twenty minutes of extra material.
