La montagna di luce, a movie directed in 1964 by a living icon of Italian cinematography, Umberto Lenzi, is based upon the novel by Emilio Salgari, a beautiful adventure in far east amidst Maharaja, Fakirs and odalisques. For this wonderful movie the director made the use of a great contemporary artist, Maestro Francesco de Masi. The result is a great adventurous, symphonic, melodic entertaining score, a perfect pairing for the images directed by the Italian filmmaker: a great recovery that allowed us to gift the Maestro fans one completely unreleased score and to put the searchlight upon a movie realized with great talent almost 50 years ago.
