Film's Storyline:

The storyline of ALLA RICERCA DEL PIACERE centres upon the somewhat mysterious relationships between the movies main characters and also the sexual tensions and emotions experienced amongst them. Barbara Bouchet plays the part of Greta Franklin, a beautiful blonde secretary from England who is employed by an eccentric author Richard Stuart (Farley Granger) and his wife Eleanor (Rosalba Neri). But it soon materialises that Greta has purposely taken the job with Stuart to find out about her friend and former lover Sally, who was also a secretary with the author and has disappeared. Greta arrives at the couple’s Venetian villa which is on the outskirts of the city, she soon finds out that her predecessor Sally has been murdered by a local fisherman-rapist (Dino Mele). But is not totally convinced that it was the fisherman alone who actually carried out the murder. She decides to investigate the incident more thoroughly but puts herself in a dangerous situation by doing so. The police commissioner Antonelli, warns her to stop her investigations for her own safety, but she ignores this advice and finds herself becoming more and more involved with the strange and threatening atmosphere that is present at Stuart’s house, which is being created by the writer and his wife. Greta survives a murder attempt during a duck hunting expedition on the marsh land around Stuarts house, her would be killer is a mentally disturbed and violent man named Rocco (Petar Martinovich), but he pulls back from harming her when he realises that she is the healer who cured him after he was involved in an accident some years previous. Rocco tells Greta some secrets that surround the mystery of her friend’s death and effectively informs on the Stuart’s. Rocco then vents his anger on Stuart and his wife, killing them both. After being questioned by the Police Commissioner Greta leaves Venice.
