After a first CD devoted to the music of Claude Bolling around two comedies led by Claude Brasseur ( The Gypsy and The Leopard ), MUSIC BOX RECORDS continues to explore the career of musician, always comedy mode. Annie Girardot takes this time instead of Brasseur. Sure value of French cinema of 70-80 years, the actress allows the production of La Mandarine Edouard Molinaro , based on a novel by Christine Rivoyre and Revenge of Pierre Lary on an original screenplay by Jacques Kirsner. The presence of Claude Bolling the generic of the two films is the result of chance meetings related to the world of vacation. Molinaro part in the snow, Lary is close to the jazzman in Deauville.

While some comedies are made in pain, this is not the case of these two films and filmmakers remember with joy their experiences. Of trouble shooting with enthusiastic actors. Music Bolling is logically complete the happy atmosphere. Mandarin and Revenge represent each of their first collaboration with directors Claude Bolling. If Pierre Lary chooses to continue his career with Jean-Marie Senia and Serge Franklin, Molinaro find Bolling repeatedly on television, especially on the occasion of the completion of the series of "Claudine," adapted from the novels of Colette which opens on an unforgettable nostalgic music. Claude Bolling also shows the ease in performing the composition for the image in the direction of his big band when it performed live. Although working with rigor and intensity, music Bolling is the image of man: light, smiling, energetic. And this album proves it once again with gusto.
