Perseverance Records è lieta di annunciare la nuova edizione del musical culte del 1980, Pennies from heaven.
Dopo la sua grandiosa hit, The Jerk, Steve Martin ha deciso che voleva fare qualcosa di completamente diverso. Ha collaborato con la sua co-protagonista di Jerk (poi sua fidanzata) Bernadette Peters per creare un dramma musicale ambientato del 1920 nel periodo più cupo di Chicago. Il film è stato qualcosa che i fan di Martin non si aspettavano dal "Wild and crazy guy". Il film viene nominato per tree premi Oscar (costumi, suono, sceneggiatura non originale).
L'LP della colonna sonora è stato originariamente pubblicato dalla Warner Bros Records nel 1981. Da tempo fuori stampa, e mai su CD, è una grande collezione di musica classica di un'epoca musicale da tempo passata. Il film gode di un grande seguito di fan, e questa colonna sonora sarà una gradita aggiunta alla loro collezione.
