Quartet Records e Paramount Pictures presenta la prima uscita della magnifica colonna sonora di Piero Piccioni. Diretto da Lewis Teange nel 1982, e prodotto da Dino de Laurentis, Fighting Back era basato sulla vera storia di Anthony Imperiale, un veterano del corpo dei Marine, che organizò ronde nella sua città natale di Newark. Con Tom Skerritt nei panni di Joe, l'eroe vigilante e de Laurentis fece il film come una risposta al Giustiziere della notte II, prodotto nello stesso periodo. La musica di Piero Piccioni è uno dei pochi impegni di Hollywood del compositore, e lui non delude. La musica è una miscela di spunti epici, dance e azione, un tema principale funky per il nostro eroe vigilante, musica triste e di suspense. Masterizzato da Claudio Fuiano dai master stereo orginali, il primo album presenta tutta la musica presente nel film, mentre il resto del programma contiene tutta la musica che il compositore ha registrato per il film, tra cui almeno un'ora di materiale non utilizzato. Booklet da 16 pagine con note di copertina di Gergely Hubai che discute del film e della colonna sonora, dando informazioni su come è stato prodotto l'album e una carrellata di track-by-track.
