Giovanni Moltoni Quartet - Directions

I began working on the music for this recording during the summer of 1994 which is when I wrote down the main ideas that evolved into pieces during the following fall and winter. The idea was to find a personal balance between tonal and modal situations so that the music could flow between them, and the musicians could find some fertile ground on which express themselves. It was a beautiful experience to record with this musicians and I hope you’ll enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed doing it. (Giovanni Moltoni)
