A long waited release, the original soundtrack music of the motion picture La gatta in calore (Aka "The cat in heat"), a very orginal movie from the noir period of the early 70's directed by Nello Rossati. The score, composed and directed by Maestro Gianfranco Plenizio, is a trip into the deep mind of the protagonist of the movie, the sexy Eva Czemerys and it reflects her sensations and her mood. One of the most beautiful release in the old LPF discographic vinyl serie, now finally available on CD with never released before music. To be noted the great performance of Edda Dell'Orso that vocalizes with her silky voice on the music composed by Maestro Plenizio and the presence in this soundtrack of "Grigioperla", one of the most famous track from Beat Records catalogue as well as one of the most licensed in the easy listening discographic world.Included 8 pages booklet with the story of the film, poster, lobby cards and liner notes written by the american journalist and critic John Bender. Let's remember at last that from this beautiful soundtrack has been taken some tracks for the compilation CINECOCKTAIL |

Film's Storyline:
Returning home from a business trip the engineer Antonio discovers in his garden the corpse of his neighbour Massimo, a young painter. He appears to have died of a gun shot to the head. Anna, Antonio’s wife, confesses to the murder. Antonio first hides Massimo’s body, and than tries to learn what pushed his wife to commit such an act. She admits to having felt terribly alone and abandoned by Antonio, due to his frequent and protracted business trips. As a sort of revenge she would meet with Massimo, and eventually became his lover. But it seemed the younger Massimo quickly got bored with Anna, and he began erotic involvements with other women. He then escalated into the psychological humiliation of Anna, and even compelled her to take drugs and have sex with his male friends. Finally pushed to ultimate desperation by Massimo’s cruelty, Anna murders him. Antonio then confesses to his wife that he knew of the relationship between her and the neighbour, and explains that he tolerated the situation because of feelings of guilt and conjugal inadequacy. Time flies during the joint confessions between husband and wife and late evening arrives; Antonio realizes he must effectively dispose of the corpse, but discovers it has disappeared! The young Massimo wasn’t actually dead, but had fainted of shock when Anna fired her gun at him. Before leaving forever Massimo confronts Anna and explains that, despite his bizarre and hurtful behaviour, he was always truly and deeply in love with her.
